Candy cane

These candy canes are made from landscape timbers, painted white and then red garland wrapped around them. They are about 3' tall standing beside our driveway.

Peace on Earth

This is what I think is one of the main messages for the season which I want people to see as they are passing our house. Christmas is about bringing peace to all people, we need to accept it and appropriate it. The 8 point star is 6' high and has 99 LED lights. The christmas trees are made with garland and LED lights wrapped around frame. The angel and the letters are cut out of 1/2" plywood and painted. The words and the angel are hung on aircraft cable.

Peacock

It seems that at Christmas time we need candles to help us celebrate the season. I set out to make different candle holders and this peacock I made out of 1" thick oak. It is made in such a way that it will fold flat.

easter cross

This project was slow in coming. I had picked the rock last summer but the rest of the project lacked inspiration to be finished. On Good Friday while I was listening to a sermon delivered by a man, that has a good understanding of the legal system, talk about being guilty, sentenced for the wrong committed. He then explained what it meant to being pardoned and offered freedom. The prisoner must step out to receive and experience the pardon. The application is there is total forgiveness because of the cross. This forgiveness is available to anyone but it must be received.

Sled

I built this sled for Annika, our granddaughter and she really enjoys the rides on it. The main sled is built with left over hardwood oak from our dinning room floor and the seat is made from baltic birch.

Wire candle holder

This wall hanging candle holder is made from three colored scrap electrical wires twisted together and simply bent to hold the glass and candle. Truly an electrician's creation of a unique light.

Nativity scene

This is a wall hanging made from cedar strips and balsa wood.

Blender lamp

This blender didn't work anymore so true to recycling it became a table lamp. The bulb is an old Edison lamp
